Happy Thursday, everyone!!! Time for another Bible Verse Thursday Challenge! This week's challenge theme is "The Word"! There are soooo many awesome scriptures which speak of The Word…..my fave being John 1:1:

"In the beginning was the Word, and Word was with God, and the Word was God."

(Too bad I don't have a stamp of that one, so I used Isaiah 40:8 instead.)

"The Word" means so many different things…..Jesus was the Word made man, the Word is Truth, the Word was written in "The Book" for us to cherish forever, and so on! One revelation I had a few years ago, when I was yearning for a closer relationship with Christ……how can you know Him if you don't read His word…..because He IS the Word!!! Talk about a "duh" moment!!! My faith and commitment have both grown by leaps and bounds once I immersed myself in The Word!!!

So, the challenge is this: use any scripture on your card, layout, or altered item which speaks of "The Word"……you will get "imaginary" bonus points if you use any other words on your project, like designer paper with printing on it, or chipboard letters, or charms….anything with words on it! Go CRAZY!! Remember, there are only two rules when you participate in our challenges at Christian Paper Crafts…….number one: glorify God in all you do…..number two: HAVE FUN!!!

When uploading to our gallery at CPC, please use the Keyword BVT58. Copy the address of your card and come back here to paste the link, so that we may share it with you!
If uploading to any additional online galleries, please use the Keyword CPC-BVT58.

Angella that is a beautiful card!! I LOVE your "duh" moment. We've all had those and isn't it wonderful how the Lord wakes us up "spiritually!" I had to laugh at your imaginary bonus points, you made me laugh out loud!! I will be playing hopefully when I have a "nap break" with the kids! Now I'm off to check out the gallery.... blessings!!!

great challenge Angella! Unfortunately, I have absolutely no stamps that speak of "The Word". I've just recently started purchasing scripture stamps so, I'm not sure how creative I can be with this challenge. Maybe there is a digi-stamp out there somewhere I could download.

Sometimes I use MS Word and print them out myself....you could try that.....or, remember, there are no challenge police....you could always improvise and 'interpret the challenge loosely'! lol!!!! :D

Well, I was thinking of taking some "creative" liberties with it as I just received the "Meditations" set from Verve and the scripture in that set would qualify "loosely".
Of course, I started to feel yucky and had to lie down and now it's time for bed soon so it will be the weekend before I get to this.
